A major chunk of the Metro in North Tyneside is now closed for 23 days.

From Saturday 11th August the 7000 passengers a day who use the metro between Tynemouth and Byker will have to use replacement busses as work is carried out on the line.

So the metro will be replaced with busses between Tynemouth and Wallsend until 3rd September.
