Alnwick Garden Turns 10: How it’s Benefited the North East Economy

Where has the time gone? The Alnwick Garden is 10 years old.

Yes, it’s been 10 years since the Duchess of Northumberland opened the garden on a once derelict plot of land.

In that time, an independent report by PwC claims it’s benefited the economy by £150 million.

It says for every £1 spent at the Garden, another 85p is spent in the local economy, and for every 20 jobs created, another 5 are created locally.
