We like to think the North-East is a fantastic place to visit but figures out from VisitBritain this morning suggest overseas visitors are going elsewhere.

Only Newcastle made it into a list of the 50 most popular towns and cities for visitors from abroad-

I’ve been finding out what the NewcastleGateshead Initiative is doing to make the cities attractive to the world:
