Student Protests

On 10th November 2010 50,000 people marched against Tuition fee rises to £9000 a year. A minority turned the demonstration into a riot, building bonfires, smashing windows and ransacking Millbank. But there were thousands of students who protested peacefully.

For Fliss Cross, a third year University of Birmingham student, the tuition fee rise won’t affect her. But she still got up at 6am and traveled to London to join the march.
