Ex-Westlife and Australian Idol star Brian McFadden has announced he’s donating all profits from his latest release to rape charaities.

His new single ‘I Like You Just The Way You Are’ has come under fire for encouraging an already poor understanding of rape.

The offending chorus says:

I like you just the way you are

Drunk as s*** dancing at the bar

I like it and I can’t wait to

Take you home and do some damage.

I like you just the way you are

Drunk in the back seat of the car

Cos I like it and I can’t wait to

Get you home so can I take advantage.

Brian says ‘it just a dumb song with dumb lyrics’ about when his fiance Delta Goodrem has a drink. On Twitter he said it’s nothing to do with date rape.

The song is released for download tomorrow.
