On Saturday 10th June 2012 the heavens opened with fury on the North East but it didn’t stop the 32nd Blaydon Race on the 150th anniversary of the famous song.

I interviewed 18 year-old Kenyan Peter Lemuya, who won the 5.9 mile race with a time of 27 minutes and 35 seconds. That’s fast.
