Hadrian’s Wall Trail Turns 10

A national trail through some of the North-East most stunning scenery is celebrating its tenth birthday.

The 84-mile Hadrian’s Wall trail now attracts around 11,000 end-to-end walkers each year, a 60% increase on the first year, and several hundred thousand more people walk smaller sections around the Roman sites and 80 circular walking routes.

I’ve been along to find out why the path is so special on a walk with Bryan Scott from the Hadrian’s Wall Trust:
