A national trail through some of the North-East most stunning scenery is celebrating its tenth birthday.
The 84-mile Hadrian’s Wall trail now attracts around 11,000 end-to-end walkers each year, a 60% increase on the first year, and several hundred thousand more people walk smaller sections around the Roman sites and 80 circular walking routes.
